CAMERAS
Yes, believe it or not, people still use cameras. Sure, they take photos on their cell phones, but cameras are not about to go out of existence any time soon. So, what is the matter with cameras? Basically, nothing, except that most of them have nylon straps, and you cart them around with the straps up against your neck. That drains your body of a bit of much-needed energy.
Today, most of the cameras come with plastic cases - more trouble for your body every time you touch them. Leather IS available for the straps, get some. They work better than the nylon ones, and you can also get handsome leather cases for your cameras. Most of the leather cases in the stores are lined with some type of synthetic material, so check with a local craftsman, and have him make you one. It will last a LOT longer than the plastic ones.
PHONES
At the beginning, I mentioned some of the things that are undesirable with cell phones. Well, your regular desk phone or office phone is not intended to be healthy for you, either. Doctors know all about "phone ear". Soft plastic, not bakelite like phones used to be, just does not allow your body to eject waste matter properly, in the areas where it contacts your skin. The old bakelite phones were made from a material that was comprised of phenol and formaldehyde - also, not good for you.
Take a look at your phone for confirmation. Where is the grease and the dirt? Why, it is all over where your ear makes contact, where you hand makes contact, and where your mouth makes contact. Usually, there's a lot of it there. It'll just "sit" there, until you use alcohol, or some other cleaner, to remove it. Do you use a piece of plastic to clean it? Of COURSE not. You most likely use a cotton cloth, or a soft paper towel, don't you?
CHILDREN'S FURNITURE
Almost every single, solitary piece of children's furniture I have seen lately, is made of plastic. The exceptions are RARE. Picnic tables, chairs, drawing desks, rockers, playhouses, couches - are almost all - plastic.
You can whip up a cheap, durable, healthy picnic table for your children in less than a DAY, that will outlast ANY of those things, and it can be made very, very simply. Same thing with table and chairs - actually, there are LOTS of people who hand craft these, and many of them use natural oils to seal the wood and finish it. Check around in your area, or just make them at home yourself.
TABLEWARE
Did you know that "royalty" rarely contracts mouth disease? They know that SILVER DESTROYS BACTERIA, so you won't catch THEM eating with regular stainless steel utensils. Stainless steel that is high-grade, can eliminate the smell of garlic, onions, or Limberger cheese on your hands, if you rub them on it, but nothing beats silver for its germ-destroying properties.
If you can, get sterling silver utensils. If you cannot afford them, look around at second-hand shops for silverplate ones. You can use them until the base metal starts to show through - THEN, don't use it. The plastic stuff tableware is just not good at all. Stainless is far superior to THAT, but if you have an heirloom set of sterling silver flatware lying around, get it out, and USE it.
MOTORCYCLE HELMETS
Earlier, on Page 10 of this section, I mentioned some of the drawbacks to them, under the section about MOTORCYCLES. Just picture your "one-of-a-kind" head, encased in a tight plastic shield. You sweat, its bulky, and it severs your energy connection.
Advice - when you can get away without wearing one, do so. I have desperately looked for a leather craftsman who know how to make motorcycle helmets out of hardened leather. Don't TELL me I am out of my mind. There have been ancient Roman shields, dug out of the English bogs, that were buried for CENTURIES. After being thoroughly cleaned, they were almost like new, being preserved by the muck in which they lay. You'd better believe they were hard as a rock - they were made to deflect metal blades! Where there's a will, there's a way. As I have stated before, the market is THERE - all you have to do, is create the helmet. Guaranteed, people will buy them.
VINYL SEATS
You should know by now, if you have been following me, that they are "sick seats". Just look around you at how many of them there are - on public transportation, in waiting rooms, in cars, in schools, in restaurants, in offices, in your home, in churches. While you're looking, consider how many people you know who have back problems. Even CHIROPRACTORS, who should KNOW better, have vinyl-covered work tables, and of course, hospitals are loaded with them. How many times have you been in a doctor's waiting room, sitting on plastic chairs? Go to any government office, and what do you sit on while you wait for your number to be called? Plastic chairs. What are you sitting on when you drive your car? Most of you are sitting on synthetic materials.
Well, consider this - when you go into an attorney's office, he usually has LEATHER on his chair, doesn't he? Sure - he wants you to RELAX. Leather is the customary covering on the chairs in any lawyer's office, and often in his waiting room, too. Leather is natural, and it relaxes people when they sit on it - provable, and true.
